Destiny 2 Veiled Thraat God Roll – PvP and PvE

The Veiled Menace is a 720 RPM rapid-fire assault rifle that was added to Destiny 2 in Episode: Echoes. This is a Stasis weapon, which can be very useful in helping you balance your Transcendence energy with the Prismatic class.

While it's not the best auto rifle in the game, it benefits from recent improvements to this weapon type, and that's Stasis, which can make a real difference for some builds.

How to get the Veiled Threat

To obtain the Veiled Threat, you must open Echo Engrams or earn them by leveling up with Failsafe via the Breach Executable activity. You can either open random engrams or focus them on the Veiled Threat at Failsafe's terminal in the HELM.

Pool of possible benefits

  • Advantage 1: Threat Detector, Fragile Focus, Attrition Orbs, Shoot to Loot, Pain, Loose Change, Strategist
  • Advantage 2: Tombstone, Desperate Measures, Still, Surrounded, Collective Action, Moving Target, Gutshot Straight
  • Original character:Radiolaria Transposer – Rapid finishing blows cause targets to explode in a pool of radiolaria fluid.
  • Intrinsic characteristic: Rapid-Fire Frame – Deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reloading when magazine is empty.

PvE Divine Scroll Veiled Menace

  • Barrel – Corkscrew shot
  • Review – Magwell flared
  • Advantage 1 – Strategist – Final blows with this weapon generate class ability energy. Activating your class ability briefly improves the stability of this weapon.
  • Advantage 2 – Tombstone – Precision finishing blows generate a stasis crystal at a target's location. Improves stability.
  • Masterpiece – Reload range or speed

To be clear, the Veiled Threat is not the best auto rifle in the game, not by a long shot, but it is a solid option to back up the good build. I find Headstone and Strategist to be a fantastic combination to provide clear advertising and excellent availability for my class abilities. This is a must for my Fire and Ice builds, where it needs the constant turret action of the Phoenix Dive.

Veiled Threat PvP God Roll

  • Barrel – Forged hammer
  • Review – Precise turns
  • Advantage 1 – Threat Detector – Significantly increased reload, stability, and handling when targets are nearby.
  • Advantage 2 – Again – Final blows grant a stacking bonus to stability, range and accuracy for this weapon. Precision finishing moves grant more stacks.
  • Masterpiece – Range

The need for range somewhat forces us to use the Crucible, so it's Hammer Forged and Accurized, a fairly traditional combo. The weapon doesn't really have what I would consider deadly PvP advantages, but Threat Detector and Encore will make it usable in most modes.
