Destiny 2 The Call God Roll – new destination weapon

Here is a god-level handgun.

The Call is a new destination weapon in Destiny 2 The Final Shape. This is the second rocket-assisted chassis-type handgun that can deal massive amounts of Strand explosion damage.

The Call is easily one of the nicest sidearms currently available in Destiny 2, capable of easily annihilating ads and most of the game's yellow-bar enemies with the appropriate throw.

If you want to add the best version of The Call to your Destiny 2 arsenal, you've come to the right place. In this ONE Esports guide, we explain our choice for The Call God Roll in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 The Call PvE God Roll explained

TYPE OF ADVANTAGE DESCRIPTION OF THE BENEFIT
Barrel Quick Launch: Significantly increases handling speed. Increases projectile speed.
Review High Velocity Bullets: Increases projectile speed. Increases reload speed.
Character 1 Lead From Gold: Picking up heavy ammo also grants ammo to this weapon.
Character 2 Desperate Measures: Final blows with weapons grant additional damage. Melee and grenade final hits grant a greater damage boost that can stack.
Or,
Multikill Clip: Reloading increases damage based on the number of quick finishing blows dealt beforehand.
Masterpiece Range
Original character Dealer's Choice: Final hits with this weapon grant a small amount of super energy. Equipping multiple weapons with the Pale Heart increases this effect.

The barrel and magazines are pretty self-explanatory. Hand cannons (especially The Call due to its high recoil) require better maneuverability, as well as better reload speed, and the fast launch and high speed perks could give you that.

The Call's biggest and arguably only notable weakness is that it uses special ammo. Therefore, we recommend Lead from Gold for the first column advantage, as it can get you special ammo every time you collect heavy ammo.

Lead from Gold is a game changer in boss encounters, especially when you have the Heavy Ammo Seeker equipped. We recently tested it out during the final battle of the Iconoclasm mission and came away quite impressed. As such, we recommend getting this advantage over everything else.

For the second column advantage, we recommend going with Desperate Measures or Multikill Clip. As mentioned above, The Call is an incredibly powerful weapon, but it can become even more powerful with these damage-boosting perks.

Desperate Measures is pretty simple. You can get increased weapon damage for finishing hits. Additionally, melee and grenade finishing blows can also give you a cumulative damage boost.

Multikill Clip needs more attention. To do this, you need to reload the weapon after quick final blows. The more finishing blows you land before recharging The Call, the more the damage increases.

You can opt for either, as the overall damage increase is about the same. However, if you're someone like us who likes to reload your weapon every few turns, this one might work pretty well.

For Masterwork, we recommend Reach because The Call's base Reach is lower than its other three attributes. You miss every shot you don't take, but with The Call, there's a good chance you'll miss the ones you do take if you don't increase the range.

Barrel Quick Launch: Significantly increases handling speed. Increases projectile speed.

Character 1 Beacon Rounds: Final hits with this weapon allow you to track the projectile.
Character 2 Adrenaline Junkie: This weapon gains increased damage and handling from finishing hits with grenades or this weapon.
Or,
Desperate Measures: Final blows with weapons grant additional damage. Melee and grenade final hits grant a greater damage boost that can stack.

The Call is not a great weapon for PvP, mainly because it requires special rounds but also because its range is horrible.

That said, you can still try The Call in Crucible.

For Barrel and Magazine, we recommend Quick Launch and High Velocity.

As for the first column advantage, we recommend Beacon Rounds, as it allows for projectile tracking. It's not as big as Rockets' tracking module, but it's better than nothing.

For the second column advantage, you can go with Adrenaline Junkie or Desperate Measures. Both increase weapon damage, but the former also improves weapon handling, so you might want to go for that unless you plan to use your melee and grenade abilities a lot.

Finally, for Masterwork, we recommend the range for obvious reasons. And that sums up our divine role The Call in Destiny 2.
