Des Moines police identify 24-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash

Jerome Mozee, 24, died in the 1800 block of Second Avenue around 2:12 a.m., according to a news release from Des Moines police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek.

Patrol officers and rescue personnel from the Des Moines Fire Department found Mozee in the roadway, the statement said. He died at the scene.

The accident occurred in a construction zone. Evidence indicates another vehicle may have been involved and may have subsequently left the scene, according to the release. Mozee was not wearing a helmet.
