THIS HAPPENED EARLIER THIS MONTH. Officers say the victim was approached by a group in the early hours of May 17, and one of the people in that group, TERRELL GREEN, 30, is accused of pulling out a gun. Des Moines police have a suspect in custody after a person was injured in a shooting at Lauridsen Skatepark earlier this month. Police began an investigation when a shooting victim showed up at a local hospital earlier this month, shortly after a Des Moines police patrol officer reported hearing gunshots in the area. Shell casings were found at Lauridsen Skatepark during the investigation. Witnesses and video evidence show the victim, a 20-year-old man, and his friend were approached by a group of people while sitting in a vehicle in the park, according to police. One of the men in the group, now identified as Tereall Green, 30, of Des Moines, brandished a handgun and attempted to rob the victim. The victim was shot during an ensuing struggle for the weapon, police said.
