Deputy arrests teen for bringing gun into Family Dollar

Dramatic video shows a deputy arrest a teenager at a Florida Family Dollar store Monday after he allegedly fled police and ran inside the business with a rifle he had stuffed under his shirt.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was on patrol when he noticed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with tinted windows and no working brake lights.

The sheriff's office said the driver tried to elude the deputy and quickly stopped in front of a Family Dollar store in Silver Springs Shores. A 16-year-old passenger got out of the car and ran into the store.

The teen, considered a delinquent felon, tried to hide from the deputy but was found in one of the aisles.

Body camera video shows the deputy running into the store, finding the teen and arresting him. A chip display toppled as the deputy tried to arrest the teen, who had a gun hidden under his shirt.

“Drop the gun, drop it. Stop playing,” the MP is heard saying. “Get on the fucking field!” »

Drugs that appeared to be packaged for sale were found inside the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

The teen faces several criminal charges following the incident. Deputies said he was taken into custody and is being held without bond.
