Deputies search for missing woman Raychel Sheridan and her boyfriend Sean Goe

PLAIN TWP. − Investigators are searching for a missing 24-year-old woman who never showed up for work Monday morning.

Her boyfriend, who she was living with, later fled after Stark County sheriff's deputies stopped him while he was driving the missing woman's vehicle.

Raychel Sheridan of Orchard Dale Drive NW was last seen or heard from Saturday, her concerned mother told deputies, according to Sheriff George Maier.

Deputies are continuing to search for her and her boyfriend, Sean Goe, 26, Maier said.

Maier said officers, responding to a call from Sheridan's mother, arrived at Sheridan and Goe's apartment around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. During an initial search, they spotted Goe driving Sheridan's Jeep on Guilford Avenue NW.

Officers stopped the vehicle on the north end of Guilford near Covered Bridge Park in the town of Canton. Maier said Goe stopped the vehicle and then fled.

Deputies called in Massillon police K-9s but were unable to find Goe, the sheriff said.

They then spent the next few hours searching Sheridan and Goe's basement apartment for clues. Officers said they learned Goe had been spotted walking around Guildford and Orchard Dale Drive NW.

The mother, who had a key, let investigators into the apartment in the three-story brick building. Maier declined to comment on what they found there, but officers found no indication of Sheridan's whereabouts. They found nothing to suggest she left in a hurry. They also did not find Sheridan's phone.

Raychel Sheridan is missing

The sheriff spoke Tuesday night outside Sheridan's apartment building as uniformed officers and costumed detectives searched his apartment, the area around his building and questioned residents. Six sheriff's vehicles were parked in front of the building. Some motorists slowed down to try to see what was happening.

Maier said Goe was wanted on misdemeanor domestic violence charges and felony firearm theft and burglary charges. Maier said Sheridan filed the complaint against Goe several months ago.

“He's someone we'd like to talk to in this case,” the sheriff said.

It is unclear which agencies issued the warrants.

Missing Plain Township Woman May Be Pregnant

Sheridan may also be pregnant. In a public Facebook post on May 15 where she was looking to give away a cat she had found, Sheridan said she was pregnant.

Maier said deputies seized the Jeep vehicle and will search it for evidence.

Maier asked anyone with information to help him find Sheridan and Goe at 330-430-3800. He warned that Goe may be armed.
