It's Wyff News 4 at 6 p.m. GOOD EVENING AND THANK YOU FOR JOINING US. WE START WITH THE LATEST NEWS OFF GREENWOOD LAKE WHERE TEAMS ARE SEARCHING FOR A MISSING TUBER. THE SOUTH CAROLINA DNR FIRST RELEASED INFORMATION ABOUT THE RESEARCH ABOUT TWO HOURS AGO. INITIAL REPORTS INDICATED THAT A PERSON WAS A TUBE BEHIND A BOAT WITHOUT A LIFE JACKET, FALLED OFF THE TUBE, AND NEVER RESURED. THE LAURENS COUNTY CORONER SAYS SHE IS ON WAIT AND THREE OTHER PEOPLE FROM THIS SAME INCIDENT WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THE FIRST CALLS CAME FROM THE CROSS HILL DU LAKE AREA. WE HAVE A TEAM GOING THERE NOW AND WILL LET YOU UPDATE AS we learn more and new information today about last weekend's drowning on Lake Hartwell. TWO DANIEL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DIED AFTER JUMPING INTO THE LAKE. RYAN AL-NASSR, SIX-YEAR-OLD TEENAGER, AND ZACHARIAH CHAR, 15 YEARS OLD. INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHETHER TEXT MESSAGES IN A GROUP CHAT. THE TEENS RECEIVED DARE THEM TO JUMP OFF A BRIDGE INTO THE LAKE. NOW DEPUTIES SAY THAT AFTER A FULLER INVESTIGATION, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THESE CLAIMS. IN GREENWOOD COUNTY, DEPUTIES INVESTIGATE A NIGHTTIME SHOOTING THAT INJURED TWO PEOPLE. The call came in around one o'clock this morning. The caller said there was a shooting at 200 Pine Creek Court Extension, just off I-85 near Whitehorse Road. Once on scene, deputies found two adults, a man and a woman, with at least one gunshot wound each. Officials say the victims were taken to the hospital. WE WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP YOU UPDATE ON THIS CASE AS WE LEARN MORE. Now it's time to turn to the meteorologists and hope for the best this holiday weekend. PEOPLE HAVE A LOT OF PLANS, DON’T THEY? METEOROLOGIST GRIFFIN HARDY JOINS US NOW. I woke up to rain, but sunshine at the end of the day. Yeah, the storms that hit this morning actually helped give us the sunshine that we saw. THIS AFTERNOON. THEY kind of worked in our favor in that we cleared them out early in the day, and once they were gone the temperatures stayed cool for most of the day. NOW WE'RE SEEING A LOT OF SUN THERE. HERE'S THE WOODRUFF ROAD SKY CAMERA WITH A NICE PHOTO OF THE MOUNTAINS IN THE DISTANCE, LOOKING TO THE NORTH. Hmm, all the rain has mostly dissipated again. THERE ARE A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS AND STORMS MOVING TOWARDS CHARLOTTE, JUST OUTSIDE OUR AREA, BUT WE ARE SEEING SUN OVER MUCH OF THE AREA. All of the storms we saw earlier today have moved farther south and east, into the Lowcountry and southern Georgia. TEMPERATURES AGAIN, NOT AS WARM AS THEY COULD BE, NOT FOR LONG THANKS TO THE STORMS WE HAD IN THE MORNING. ONLY IN THE 80'S RIGHT NOW, 81 IN GREENVILLE, 82 IN ANDERSON. A LITTLE HOT SPOT IN TOCCOA AT 86, 70S AND LOW 80S ACROSS WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA. COULD REACH NEAR 90 TODAY, BUT THERE'S PROBABLY A CHANCE OF THAT AT LEAST TOMORROW AS I DON'T SEE ANY CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN TOMORROW MORNING. ONLY 20% FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING. CANNOT EXCLUDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SPACE SHOWER OR AN ISOLATED STORM. MOST OF US STAY DRY AND WET. HIGH 60S STILL AT 1:00 AM AND MID 60S EARLY TOMORROW MORNING FOR THE MOUNTAINS. SIMILAR STORY HERE. LITTLE POSSIBILITY FOR A FEW ISOLATED OBJECTS THIS EVENING, BUT ALSO REMAIN MOSTLY DRY. LOW 60S WHEN YOU WAKE UP EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. MOST OF THE DAY TOMORROW WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY, HOT AND HUMID. THERE WILL BE A POSSIBILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS AFTER 5:00 PM, FROM THIS WE WILL STAY HOT AND A LITTLE STORY AT TIMES FOR MONDAY TOO. WE WILL BREAK THE FORECAST FOR MEMORIAL DAY AND WHAT’S TO COME FOR THE START OF NEXT WEEK. COMING IN A FEW MINUTES. ALL RIGHT. We'll see each other then. THANK YOU. GRIFFIN. Well, nothing was keeping folks from the third annual Palmetto Heroes Hike in downtown Greenville today, both 12 and 6 mile hikes starting and ending at the Well Memorial Checkpoints were set up along the Swamp Rabbit Trail which was part of the hike. THE EVENT honors South Carolina military personnel and first responders who have died in the line of duty, including this year's individuals who passed with ease. POLICE OFFICER MATTHEW AND IRMO FIREFIGHTER JAMES MUELLER. Anytime you can tell someone about your hero, it makes you feel so much better. You know, if you close the door, if you don't talk to people and you keep it inside, that's a bad thing to do. UPSTATE WARRIOR SOLUTION AND THE WOUNDED AND RECOVERY FUND HOSTED THE EVENT, SPLITTING DONATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO GROUPS THAT PROVIDE SERVICES TO VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS LIKE GRITS AND KILTS. WHEN THE SCOTTISH GAMES COME TO TOWN. COMBINING SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERN CULTURE, THE GAMES TAKE PLACE THIS WEEKEND AT FURMAN UNIVERSITY. THE GREAT SCOTTISH PARADE STARTED THE TWO-DAY FESTIVAL YESTERDAY ON GREENVILLE'S MAIN STREET, AND IT HAS HAPPENED SINCE 2006 IN TRIBUTE TO THE REGION'S ANCIENT CELTS WITH COINS AND DRUMS, DANCING BORDER COLLIES AND, OF COURSE, A ATHLETIC COMPETITION. WHEN YOU HAVE NON-EVENTS HERE, YOU HAVE THE STONES, YOU HAVE THE LIGHT HEAVY WEIGHT FOR DISTANCE, YOU HAVE THE HEAVY LIGHT HAMMER, THE CABER, THE GRAB THROW AND THE WEIGHT ON BAR. ALL OUR FRIENDS GET TOGETHER ON THE FIELD. WE CAN WEAR KILTS, THROW HEAVY THINGS, AND ENJOY IT. THROW HEAVY THINGS INTO A KILT. I must like it. GREENVILLE SCOTTISH GAMES LAST UNTIL NINE TONIGHT WITH THE QUO
