'Depraved' Florida Woman Gave Victims Fentanyl, Sexually Exploited Them: Officials

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A South Florida woman has been accused of giving women drugs to coerce them into having sex for money.

Elise Mizrachi of Pembroke Pines recruited and trafficked heroin and fentanyl addicts, according to a news release from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody's office.

Mizrachi was on probation at the time for trafficking heroin. She forced several Miami women and one Pennsylvania woman into prostitution, promising them an easy way to obtain drugs and make money, according to the release.

She was accused of posting their photos on commercial sex websites, communicating with buyers and arranging “dates.” Mizrachi retained “most, if not all, of the profits,” according to Moody's office.

“This depraved human trafficker targeted women struggling with addiction, giving them heroin and fentanyl to coerce them into sex in exchange for money, most of which the defendant kept,” Moody wrote in a statement. “I am grateful to those who have come forward to report these horrific crimes to the police.”

A few women escaped Mizrachi and reported the situation to the police. She is charged with two counts of human trafficking and other offenses.

Anyone who witnesses or suspects human trafficking is asked to call the statewide tip line at (855)-FLA-SAFE.
