Decatur woman arrested after allegedly stabbing boyfriend during domestic dispute | News

A domestic dispute led to the arrest of a Decatur woman after she allegedly injured her boyfriend with a knife, according to Decatur police.

Wednesday morning, officers responded to the 900 block of Austin Street SW and found a man with a laceration to his right hand. He was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

This led to the arrest of a woman identified as Janea Mathews.

P.Police said detectives determined the injury occurred during a confrontation between Mathews and her boyfriend.

Mathews was charged with second-degree domestic violence, booked into the Morgan County Jail and held on $5,000 bail.
