Deadly shooting on NE Boulevard in Old Fourth Ward Friday

ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after a 17-year-old boy was found shot to death in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, according to police.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teen as Malik Heard.

It happened Friday around 6 p.m. when officers received a shooting call. They went to 375 Boulevard NE, near Wabash Avenue, which appears to be near a convenience store.

When police arrived on scene, they found Heard shot.

Atlanta police said investigators from the homicide unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No suspect information has been released at this time.
