Deadly shooting at MAX station shuts down Highway N, disrupts TriMet service

PORTLAND Oregon (KPTV) – A man was found dead at the scene after a shooting around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Portland Police Department.

Officers responded to the TriMet MAX platform at North Interstate Avenue and North Prescott Street and found a man dead at the scene of the shooting.

During the investigation, North Interstate Avenue is closed between North Skidmore Street and North Going Street. The MAX station is unable to operate on site and service has been interrupted.

PPB said the identity of the victim will be released once the cause of death has been confirmed and next of kin have been notified.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been arrested.
