DC stabbing following verbal altercation leads to manhunt

WASHINGTON DC – DC police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing in Northwest Washington. The incident, which occurred on Friday, May 17, at approximately 1:57 a.m., followed a verbal altercation in the 400 block of 2nd Street.

During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed a male victim, who subsequently had to be hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The attack was filmed by nearby surveillance cameras.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

The DC Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and charging of the person responsible.
