Daughter observed in fatal shooting of father, 70-year-old Peter Caval, at his New York home: sources

A 70-year-old man was stabbed to death Wednesday morning at his Queens home — and his daughter is now in custody, sources and police said.

Peter Cavak was stabbed multiple times in the torso and his wife discovered the grisly scene at their Ozone Park home at 109th Avenue and 114th Street, according to cops and sources.

Moments before the fatal stabbing, the girl called her mother who was upstairs and claimed her father was going to hurt her, sources said.

The mother heard the two men arguing and rushed downstairs, where she saw her husband bent over, according to the sources.

Cavak's wife did not realize he had been stabbed until emergency services arrived and pronounced him dead, sources said.

The couple's daughter, aged in her 30s, fled the home after the stabbing and was found by law enforcement hours later in New Jersey.

She was taken into custody and had not been charged as of Wednesday evening.
