Damage reported after severe storms hit Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA (KFOR) – Severe weather hit Oklahoma once again Saturday evening.

The storms brought hail, wind, and destructive tornadoes. Several Oklahoma counties were affected, including Garfield, Major, Dewey, Rogers, Woodward, Mayes and many others.

Homes in Claremore were also damaged after storms hit Rogers Co.

Several homes and barns were reported damaged in areas affected by the storm. It is currently unknown if or how many people were injured in the storms.

The total number of tornadoes has not been determined as damage from the storm is still being assessed.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, the State Emergency Operations Center remains activated.

The OEM is in contact with emergency managers across the state and works with agencies and organizations including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, State Department of Health Oklahoma, Oklahoma National Guard, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security, Oklahoma. Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Oklahoma Department of Insurance, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, National Weather Service, American Red Cross of Oklahoma, Army Salvation and disaster volunteer organizations in Oklahoma active.
