May 22, 2024

• James Valerie of Grimes was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near O Avenue when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Angela Hansen-Abbas of Perry. Valerie's vehicle entered the ditch and overturned, and all occupants were transported by Dallas County Emergency Medical Services. Damage to Valerie's vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Hansen-Abbas' vehicle was estimated at $10,000.

May 23, 2024

• Daniel Monroy of Perry was traveling in the 27000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when a vehicle, driven by Travis Beam of Perry, attempted to pass Monroy's vehicle and struck Monroy's vehicle. • Trisha Slauson, 46, of 601 Percival Ave., Dallas Center, was arrested for domestic assault.
• Michael Harrah, 28, of 506 Main St. E., Grand Junction, was arrested for fifth-degree theft and issued citations for no valid license, fraudulent use of registration, operating without license plate or license plate. registration and failure to display the registration plate.
• Lucas Hughes, 35, of 230 Main St., Carlisle, was arrested for OWI, eluding, speeding, reckless driving, open container and improper passing.
