Dairy Queen worker hospitalized after Stanford stabbing incident

STANFORD, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Dairy Queen employee is in the hospital after allegedly being stabbed by a co-worker at Stanford. The Stanford Police Department reported receiving a call about a stabbing Wednesday afternoon at the Dairy Queen.

Police said when officers arrived, they found an employee who was allegedly stabbed multiple times by her co-worker, 20-year-old Rachel Sanchez. According to police, another colleague intervened and managed to stop the attack. Police say she was injured but did not require immediate medical attention.

Sanchez was charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault. The victim's condition is currently unknown.
