CSU San Bernardino Indian student missing in Los Angeles

Police are asking for the public's help in locating an Indian student from Cal State University, San Bernardino, who went missing last Tuesday, May 28 in Los Angeles.

Nitheesha Kandula, 23, was last seen in Los Angeles, according to the CSUSB Police Department. Concerned relatives reported her missing to the Los Angeles Police Department's Southwest Division last Thursday.

She was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.

Nitheesha Kandula, 23, a student at California State University, San Bernardino, was reported missing after she was last seen in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

She may have been driving a 2021 Toyotora Corolla with California license plate 9KXU509, police said in a written statement. The color of the vehicle was unknown.

No further details regarding the circumstances of Kandula's disappearance were available.

The student resides in Hyderabad, India, and traveled to California to study, according to Indian media reports.
