CSPD releases more details about alleged kidnapping that took place on June 10

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has released more details about what it is calling a kidnapping that took place in Colorado Springs on June 10.

On June 10, CSPD received a call about an alleged kidnapping that had reportedly occurred at the Arbor Point Apartments.

According to documents provided to us by CSPD, an altercation began between two people residing at the residence following a previous incident.

Both victims of the incident said that following the altercation, a group of people arrived at the apartment where they were, wearing black masks and brandishing handguns.

The victims were allegedly held at gunpoint and escorted to another apartment in the building. Upon arrival, the suspects removed their masks and struck the victims in the back of the head with their handguns.

Over the next hour, one victim reported being punched several times in the face and body.

The victims were not subdued but said someone was watching near the door with one of the handguns.

The victims were allegedly held in the apartment for more than 24 hours, where they were continually assaulted, had a glass bottle smashed over their heads and hit in the head with a baseball bat.

The suspects then allegedly said they were going to kill the victims, before releasing one in a game of “manhunt” where the victim would have a head start before seeking out and killing them.

Once released, one of the victims was forced to leave the other behind, but managed to hide before losing consciousness. After waking up, the victim was able to contact a resident of the residence who was able to help him get to the hospital.

It appears the second victim was returned to the original apartment she was taken to at some point during this period.

Two suspects, Linda Guest and Joseary Arizmendi, were arrested following the incident.
