Crews respond to fire at Rancho Cordova industrial complex

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a fire at an industrial complex on Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova Thursday evening.

The fire broke out in the area of ​​Folsom Boulevard and Mercantile Drive.

Flames from the fire engulfed the roof of the complex, Sac Metro Fire confirmed. There were several businesses in the building and several occupants were evacuated from the complex.

The fire was reported around 11 p.m. and was brought under control in about an hour, Sac Metro Fire said.

A total of three units were involved in the response.
