The San Diego County Sheriff's Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI that the fire started after a shed in the backyard of a home caught fire and spread to a nearby tree. The wind then blew embers into a nearby field, starting a bushfire.

The Sheriff's Department evacuated several homes in the area, including a nearby mobile home park. The evacuation order was lifted at 3:22 p.m. Friday after crews said they successfully contained the fire.

Deputies say the fire was about 2 acres and firefighters were able to stop the spread.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Homes in the area where the fire initially broke out suffered considerable damage.
