Court rejects Sarim Burney's bail request in human trafficking case

KARACHI: A local court has rejected the bail plea of ​​social activist Sarim Burney, arrested in a human trafficking and fraud case.

A human trafficking and fraud case was heard in Municipal Court against Sarim Burney.

The court had reserved its decision after concluding arguments by lawyers and the FIA ​​on the bail application of accused Sarim Burney.

During the hearing, the FIA ​​prosecutor said that more revelations had been made during the investigation, more evidence had to be gathered against the accused, that if the accused was released on bail, this could affect the investigation, the accused resorted to lying. .

The FIA ​​prosecutor said the girl's mother's statement is that she contacted Sarim Burney to take the girl, but Sarim Burney refused to give the girl to the mother.

On the other hand, Sarim Burney's lawyer said that the girl was given up for adoption in a completely legal manner and that Sarim Burney had all the evidence regarding the girl up for adoption.

The FIA ​​failed to present evidence against the accused. Therefore, by granting Sarim Burney's request for bail, he should be dismissed from the case.

After hearing the parties' arguments, the court rejected Sarim Burney's application for bail.
