This is of course great news for Ford and its fans. And not only is Ford still here, but this week he promised that he'll be releasing new music soon.

“You're watching,” he said with a smile in the video he posted on his Instagram account.

But that wasn't all Ford had to say. He made sure to update his fans about his physical condition.

“Well, I got my hair cut today,” the singer said. in a video he shared on Instagram Wednesday evening. “I still have the rocking mullet. Cardiac rehabilitation starts tomorrow. The road to recovery baby. I love you. Thank you so much for your support and for so much love in the comments. It's been incredible. It’s a long road, and I was mentally depressed, but man… you made everything amazing. Thank you very much to all. God bless. I hope to see you soon.”

This was a fantastic update considering everything Ford has been through.

He revealed some of these details in April when he called into the Big D and Bubba radio show.

“It’s been a crazy, traumatic experience,” Ford told the hosts. “I didn’t even remember coming here to do a show in Phoenix.”

Ford had just gotten back on his tour bus after playing at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row bar when he texted his fiancée: “Hi baby.”

“And then I dropped dead,” he said.

Ford said luckily his group came to him and found him. And, he said, country music star Brantley Gilbert was involved in getting him to the hospital and, ultimately, making sure he was transferred to another hospital when the one where They found themselves did not have the proper equipment to treat Ford's heart condition.

“He said, 'I don't care what you do, take him to the other hospital,'” Ford said of Gilbert.

Ford said he died during transport to the other hospital.

“They brought me back,” he said. “They saved my life. The Lord had more to do for me.

Ford said he actually died twice during the ordeal.

“It happened on the 3rd, I think, and I didn’t wake up until the 10th,” he said.

He said one of his doctors told him they wouldn't have given him a 1% chance of living.

“He said, I would give you a 0.1 percent chance that you survived,” Ford said.

“I had so much trauma in my body and in my heart,” he said. “I had three relays in (my heart).”

Ford, who has worked closely with Toby Keith, Jamey Johnson and Jason Aldean, has had his share of health issues. Taste of Country reported last year that he was battling myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease.

He also reportedly had eye cancer and required surgery three years ago to correct it.

Ford, whose real name is Jason Farris Brown, is a former professional golfer. He has released eight studio albums, the first of which was released in 2008, and his most recent, “Must Be Country”, released in 2023.

Despite his problems, he remains optimistic.

“I'm so grateful, blessed and lucky to still be alive guys,” he captioned the video he shared on Wednesday. “I have received so many prayers and well wishes that I am so touched by it all. I hate not being able to be on the road playing shows, but I hope to go back next year. I have new music coming and I'm working hard to get back.

“I love you all,” he added. “God bless. Foal.”
