A 43-year-old woman from Embrun faces two charges following a police investigation.

Police said the woman stabbed someone she knew on June 25. She was located and taken into custody on Saturday.

Bobbie Sylvester, 43, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing at a Cornwall court.

Aggression, prohibited operation, violations

A 31-year-old Cornwall man faces four charges after police responded to a call on Sunday.

Police said the man had assaulted his partner and was driving a vehicle while under a driving ban. He was taken into custody at the police station on Sunday.

The man, whose identity has not been released, has been charged with domestic violence, driving while disqualified and two counts of breaching probation for breach of the peace.

He was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on July 23.

A 21-year-old man from Athens, Ont., faces two charges after police responded to a call Saturday.

Police said the man assaulted his girlfriend and damaged her property.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was charged with domestic violence and mischief under $5,000.

He was released from police custody and is due to appear in Cornwall Crown Court on July 16.

A 55-year-old Cornwall man is facing charges after police responded to a complaint on Sunday.

Police said the man had attacked someone he knew.

Christopher Fontaine, 55, was charged with assault.

He was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on August 8.

A 32-year-old woman from St. Catharines, Ont., is facing two charges after police responded to a call Sunday.

Police said the woman damaged her mother's property and also threatened her.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and mischief under $5,000.

She was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on August 13.

Incendiary material, careless storage

A 40-year-old Cornwall man faces two charges after police responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Friday.

Police said the man was attempting to throw a Molotov cocktail in an attempt to commit a criminal offence. He was located on Saturday and when he was arrested, officers said he was in possession of ammunition.

Oliver McTaggart, 40, has been charged with possession of incendiary material and careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

He was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on August 8.

A 43-year-old Glen Robertson woman is facing charges after police responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Friday.

Police said the woman was testing a Molotov cocktail with the intention of committing a criminal offence.

Carmela Licursi, 43, was charged with possession of incendiary material.

She was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on August 8.

Theft, failure to stop, violation

A 31-year-old Cornwall man faces three charges following a police investigation.

Police said the man was involved in a car collision on May 31 and fled the scene. Police also said the vehicle the man was driving was reported stolen. He was located by officers and taken into custody on Saturday.

Ryan Royer, 31, was charged with motor vehicle theft, failure to stop after an accident and violation of probation for breach of peace.

He was released from police custody and is due to appear in Cornwall Crown Court on July 30.

A 43-year-old man faces charges in two unrelated investigations.

Police alleged the man violated a release order by failing to show up for his bail supervision program on May 24. Police also alleged the man removed merchandise from a Ninth Street West business on Friday without paying for it. He was taken into custody Friday.

32 charges

A 49-year-old man faces 32 charges following multiple police investigations.

Police alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle with his wife as a passenger on April 25, breaching various release orders regarding communication and contact with her. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 9, officers responding to a disturbance call alleged the man was breaching various release orders regarding communication and contact with his wife, as well as his own address, when they alleged the man was living with his wife. On June 9, officers responding to a separate matter alleged the man was breaching release orders and probation by being present at his wife's residence and living there. He was located by Ottawa police on Sunday and later transferred to the custody of Cornwall police.

The man, whose name has not been released, has been charged with driving while prohibited, 25 counts of breaching release orders for contacting and being with his wife, failing to live at a specified address and failing to notify police of a change of address, and six counts of breaching probation for contacting his wife and failing to keep the peace.

He was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing at a Cornwall court.

A 25-year-old Cornwall woman faces two charges after police responded to a call on Sunday.

Police said the woman damaged property at a residence.

Isabelle Masson-Billard, 25, was charged with mischief under $5,000 and violation of probation conditions for failure to maintain public order.

A 45-year-old Cornwall woman is facing charges after police responded to a business on Ninth Street East on Saturday.

Police said the woman removed goods from the store without paying for them.

Isaura Skibinsky, 45, was charged with theft under $5,000.

She was released from police custody and will appear in Cornwall Crown Court on July 30.

Operation prohibited

A 46-year-old Cornwall man faces three charges following a police investigation.

Police said an officer saw the man driving a motor vehicle on Saturday, in breach of his motor vehicle driving ban.

Shane Bertrand, 46, was charged with two counts of driving while prohibited and breaching probation for breach of the peace.

He was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing at a Cornwall court.
