Conviction of William Dunfee for participation in insurrection postponed

FRAZEYSBOURG − A Warsaw church pastor in Frazeysburg, convicted of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, has had his sentencing hearing postponed for a second time.

William Dunfee, 58, was convicted Jan. 22 of two felony charges of obstructing an official proceeding or aiding and abetting civil disorder, and one misdemeanor charge of entering and remaining in any building or grounds restricted access, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington.

Dunfee was originally scheduled to be sentenced in person on May 24 by Judge Reggie B. Walton. On April 30, an unopposed motion to postpone the hearing until July 17 was approved by Walton. On May 22, a joint motion to delay sentencing until 10 a.m. on September 19 was approved by Walton.
