Convicted in Italy for international drug trafficking, (Name), 45 years old, is arrested in Elbasan

A 45-year-old man convicted in Italy of international drug trafficking was handcuffed in Elbasan. Ermal Nonaj alias Marvi Nonaj was sentenced to 4.4 years in prison by the Court of Appeal of Turin, for the criminal offense of “drug trafficking”. The authorities have started extradition procedures to Italy.

Furthermore, in Vlora, a 41-year-old resident of Elbasan was arrested after being accused of stealing from a citizen's business the safe which contained 60,000 ALL and 500 euros.

POLICE NOTICE:

Intensive checks continue as part of the “Rule of Law” mega-operation, aimed at capturing wanted citizens.

Following the checks, 1 citizen declared internationally wanted and 1 citizen declared nationally wanted were captured.

The structures of the DVP Elbasan, in application of the measures developed within the framework of the codified police mega-operation “Rule of law”, based on the information provided during the operation, on the location of the 2 wanted citizens, have intensified controls for their capture and placement, before any legal liability.

Following the checks:

The Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Task Force, arrested and arrested citizen Ermal Nonaj alias Marvi Nonaj, 45 years old, resident of Elbasan.

The Court of Appeal of Turin, by decision of 11.03.2021, sentenced this citizen to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment for the criminal offense “Drug trafficking”, provided for by the Italian Penal Code. Extradition procedures for this citizen to Italy are continuing.

The services of the Elbasan police station arrested and detained citizen A. Gj., 41 years old, resident of Elbasan, after the prosecution at the court of first instance of the General Court of Vlorë, with the decision of 04.05.2024, assigned to the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Theft”.

This citizen, in cooperation with citizen Xh. Gj., on 01.09.2023, stole from a citizen's company the safe, inside which contained 60,000 ALL and 500 euros.

Other actions in favor of this citizen will be carried out by the structures of the DVP Vlorë.
