This story follows a report of a missing New Hartford man. New Hartford police first reported that Lawrence E. Redfield, 72, was missing around 10 a.m. on June 13. In Redfield's case, he had apparently left his home and medications and personal items were left behind.

Fortunately, New Hartford police said Redfield had been located and provided no further details. They thanked the public who provided information.

This is unfortunately a scenario that happens quite frequently. In most cases, endangered or vulnerable adults are ultimately found safe and sound, with only minor problems. In extreme cases, research ends with tragic results. It is undoubtedly a difficult situation when family members have to be careful or worry about their loved ones wandering away or getting lost somewhere.
