Claxton man charged in stabbing

CLAXTON – A Claxton woman suffered multiple stab wounds after an argument with her boyfriend turned violent. On Dec. 16, around 6:47 p.m., James Stancil Watson, 48, of Rosemary Street, Claxton, became angry with his girlfriend and attacked with a knife, said Investigator Barry Barnard of the Department of Justice. Claxton Police. An argument ensued between the two at Watson's residence when his girlfriend said she was leaving for Florida to see her children for Christmas, Barnard said. The victim said he suddenly attacked her, stabbing her in various places on her body, Barnard said.
