Dunkirk police provided additional information on the stabbings during which three individuals, including the man indicted, were injured.

Twain Buchanan-Scott, 34, was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief in the May 30 incident.

Around 3:30 a.m., Dunkirk police were called to 123 Lake Shore Drive West for a disturbance, while arriving patrols were notified of a possible stabbing at that location.

Patrols were able to enter the apartment where they located suspect Twain Buchanan-Scott inside the apartment, armed with a knife, standing over a female victim with multiple stab wounds on her the body.

Patrol officers were able to quickly arrest Buchanan-Scott without incident. Patrols then located another male victim inside the apartment, also suffering from a stab wound, both of whom were treated by Dunkirk firefighters and Alstar ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. . The suspect was transported to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown and was later arrested Wednesday. He was arraigned before Judge John Kuzdale and held on $100,000 cash bail and $200,000 surety bond.

City police were assisted by the Fredonia Police Department, Dunkirk Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance.
