Chris Brown, of Boardman, Ohio, arrested on drug charges 6 months after police raided his home

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Boardman man was arrested Tuesday at his Maple Drive home nearly six months after police searched his home and found various drugs and cash, according to reports.

Chris Brown, 43, was arrested around 10:15 a.m. on charges of drug possession and unlawful use or possession of drug paraphernalia, according to reports.

Officers searched Brown's home with a state search warrant around 9 a.m. on Dec. 21, where they found $1,821 grouped into amounts consistent with drug trafficking and various substances that were taken for tests and were subsequently found positive for xylazine, fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl in February. reports report.

According to reports, Brown said during the December search that he “wasn't worried about it,” referring to a plastic bag filled with white powder and a plastic bag filled with beige powder, because that they had been “cut” – a slang term used. by drug dealers, which describes non-drug materials mixed with drugs to make more products. A straw filled with drug residue was also found.

According to reports, several family members, including several young children, were at Brown's residence before being asked to leave. Brown told police they would not find anything illegal in his house.

Brown is expected to appear in court to answer to the charges Thursday afternoon.
