Chincoteague fire victim identified

Virginia State Police have identified the body of a man who died in a fire on Circle Drive Wednesday morning.

Daniel J. Fernandez, 62, was found in the structure after the main fire was brought under control. The Virginia State Police Fire Investigator was called to the scene and the investigation continues.

The cause of the fire has not been determined but it does not appear suspicious.
