Mumbai: The city crime branch on Friday arrested one more woman in connection with the child trafficking case, taking the number of people arrested to 34. Crime branch unit 2 arrested Madina Ansari Khan (38 years) of Nallasopara who had sold his. baby for Rs 2 lakh. Ansari was taken into custody. The police rescued the child from Ratnagiri. In April, Unit 2 of the Crime Branch had dismantled the interstate child trafficking gang, with the arrest of seven people, including a doctor. They later arrested 28 more people, mostly women, who worked as agents at two fertility clinics in Thane. Earlier, police rescued two babies.tnn
