Child Predator Group Arrested in DeRidder

DERIDDER, La. (WNTZ) – The DeRidder Police Department received a complaint of indecent behavior. The DeRidder Police Department Criminal Investigation Division began investigating the complaint and learned the following. A group of adult males were having inappropriate conversations that led to sexual encounters with young females in the area.

During the investigation, investigators learned that Jaddarius J Miller, 26, of DeRidder, had sexually inappropriate conversations with minors, which led to him having sexual intercourse with them. When interviewed by investigators, he confirmed the allegations.


He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office Jail and charged with first-degree rape while the victim was under thirteen years old. His bail is set at 100 percent with no surety.

Investigators also learned that Keomah Ishmael Jackson, 24, of DeRidder, had sexually inappropriate conversations with a minor, which led to him having a sexual relationship with her. When interviewed by investigators, he confirmed the allegations.

He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office Jail and charged with sexual intercourse with a minor and indecent behavior with minors. His bail is set at $200,000.00.

Investigators also learned that Emmanuel Travone, Jan. 21, DeRidder, had sexually inappropriate conversations with a minor, which led to him having a sexual relationship with her. When interviewed by investigators, he confirmed the allegations.

He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office Jail and charged with sexual intercourse with a minor and indecent behavior with minors. His bail is set at $200,000.00.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

An arrest is an indication that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person participated in the alleged offense. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The DeRidder Police Department also wants to remind parents to monitor their children's cell phone and social media activity. Parents should review all apps on their child's phone. Talk to your children about online safety. Parents should have any passwords the child has set on their cell phones or internet-connected devices.

Parents should take extra steps, including taking possession of their child's phone at night while it is charging, so that no one can communicate with them while they are sleeping.

Predators can target children through social media apps if parents are unaware of their child's online activity.
