A toddler and his mother were attacked Monday at a local Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted. The victims were stabbed by a woman in the afternoon, according to local media. The stabbing attacker believed to be behind the crime has been arrested by the North Olmsted Police Department. The suspect was identified by cops as 32-year-old Bionca Ellis. The mother and son stabbed in the parking lot were later transported to a local hospital.

A joint investigation was launched by Ohio City authorities, including the Police Department and EMS. The victims of knife attack at the supermarket are receiving treatment at St. John Medical Center, according to city Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones. Additionally, local reports add that their condition remains unknown.

Police rushed to the scene after receiving several calls about a stabbing that occurred around 3 p.m. local time. The suspect, who launched a knife attack against the victims, was taken into police custody.
