Chicago Fire FC Announces Exciting New Partnership with Avocados of Peru

CHICAGO (June 26, 2024) – Chicago Fire FC and Avocados from Peru today announced an exciting new partnership naming Avocados from Peru as the official avocado and superfood of Chicago Fire FC. The partnership will create a variety of co-branding and activation opportunities in-stadium during Fire games, on social and digital media, and throughout the Chicagoland region. Additionally, in collaboration with Mariano's supermarkets, Fire and Avocados from Peru launched the #AvoFire Ultimate Football Contest offering Fire fans the chance to win an AVO Fire co-branded 2024 Tesla Model Y.

Through the #AvoFire Ultimate Football Contest fans will have the opportunity to win a range of different prizes, including VIP Chicago Fire experiences, a Mariano shopping spree and the highlight of the raffle – the AVO Fire co-branded 2024 Tesla Model Y, wrapped in fire-themed stickers representing the logos of Peru Lawyers, Mariano and Chicago Fire. Fans can enter the #AvoFire Ultimate Football Contest by registering at chicagofire.com/avocados or at their local Mariano's Market, via a QR code that will appear on the AVO Fire co-branded vehicle as it travels throughout Chicago and the Chicago Fire, Mariano's and Avocados Instagram channels from Peru, The #AvoFire Ultimate Football Contest will run through September 16, 2024, which marks National Guacamole Day. Three semi-finalists will be drawn along with the winner of the #AvoFire Ultimate Football Contest being determined by halftime of the Club's match against Toronto FC on September 28, 2024.

In addition to #AvoFire Ultimate Football ContestAs part of the partnership, Fire and Avocados of Peru will work together to highlight the health benefits of avocados through a variety of activations across Fire's social and digital channels, stadium signage and LED screens, as well as pre-match activations. The AVO Fire co-branded Tesla will also be on display at the Fire Pitch throughout the contest and will be on hand for all MLS regular season home games at Soldier Field and SeatGeek Stadium from July 3 to September 28, where fans will have the opportunity to view the car and scan the QR code for another chance to win.

The Fire return to the lakefront on Wednesday, July 3 to host the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. CT at Soldier Field. In honor of the founding of our nation, the Club will celebrate Independence Day in advance, with the game serving as a fireworks night, where fans will be able to enjoy a patriotic post-game spectacle. The game will also be broadcast worldwide on Apple TV, in English on wlsam.com and transmitted locally in Spanish on WRTO 1200 AM.

It was established in 2010 to increase consumption/demand for Peruvian avocados through advertising, retail promotion and public relations.
