Chicago area man pleads guilty to I-80 drug trafficking charges | News

Lock Haven, Pa. — A 23-year-old Bridgeview, Ill., man entered a no-contest plea to undisclosed criminal charges in Clinton County Court on Tuesday.

Mujahid Hammam was charged after PSP Lamar stopped Hammam's vehicle on February 18 for traffic violations. Officer Matthew Mills reported “a strong odor of marijuana at the window,” according to court records.

The officer brought the K9 drug and, pursuant to a search warrant, searched the vehicle and two other passengers.

The plants located more than 16 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana and 972 additional items containing maijuana or THC, including THC cartridges in bulk packaging and other bulk THC packaging, the statement said. press.

According to agents, they also found drug sales records in the vehicle, as well as luggage and airplane baggage tags with Hammam's name on them.

The three occupants were charged. The vehicle was traveling from New York to Chicago, passengers told police.

Sentencing will take place next month, prosecutor Dave Strouse said.
