Cheating complaint filed against Telugu actor Raj Tharun by his alleged partner

Hyderabad: A police complaint has been filed against Telugu film actor Raj Tharun alleging that he cheated on his partner.

In her complaint lodged with the Narsingi police on Thursday evening, the woman said that she and Raj Tharun had been in a romantic relationship for a decade. She also alleged that he had cheated on her with another woman. The complainant expressed her desire to live with Raj Tharun.

The police said the complaint was under investigation, adding that they would proceed as per the evidence presented by the complainant. Raj Tharun has acted in films such as Uyyala Jampala, Kumari 21 F and Cinema Chupista Mava.

Raj Tharun told reporters, “I had a relationship with Lavanya before and it is not a lie. After 2017, there is no physical relationship between us. I am only afraid of losing my reputation in the film industry. That is why I have remained calm all these years. I will pursue this matter legally, including filing a police complaint.” He also said that Lavanya and her brother had threatened film actress Malvi Malhotra with whom he recently worked in a film.

“I lead a normal life and whenever Lavanya needed money, she would ask me for it. If Lavanya really wanted to continue dating me, almost eight years ago, she filed a complaint against Mastan Sai asking him to marry her. At present, Lavanya is living in my apartment with Mastan Sai and is addicted to drugs. I am grateful to her as she supported me during my arrival in Hyderabad. I left my apartment with the fear of losing my reputation,” said Raj Tharun.
