Chatham-Kent police have identified a suspect they continue to search for in connection with an armed robbery investigation earlier this year.

On March 25, two disguised individuals forced their way into a home on Fairview Line in Chatham. The homeowners were not injured, police said.

On Monday, police said Michael VanDusen, 39, of Chatham, was wanted for:

  • Breaking and entering and robbery
  • Pointing a gun
  • Disguise with intention
  • Two counts of failing to comply with a release order
  • Five counts of possessing a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

He is on the police department's most wanted list at www.ckpolice.com/most-wanted.

Anyone with information on VanDusen's whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling 911 or 519-352-1234.

Citizens are advised not to approach or interact with VanDusen. Police also warned that members of the general public did not have the power to stop him.

Police initially reported that two individuals entered the home around 8:20 p.m. and demanded money and left with various items.

Police arrested two suspects in this case: Marcus VanDusen, 41, and John Hamilton, 45, both of Chatham.

They are both charged with possession of property obtained by crime worth less than $5,000, possession of a stolen credit card and fraud under $5,000.
