Charlotte shooting injures four, suspect at large

Police are searching for a man they say shot and killed four people near downtown Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were injured Saturday in an early morning shooting outside a business near Uptown, according to Medic.

The suspect is at large, police said.

The shooting happened on North Tryon Street just before 2 a.m.

Police said it started with an argument. A man walked to his car to get a gun, returned to the parking lot where the argument took place and began shooting.

One person was seriously injured and the other three were slightly injured. All four were sent to hospital.

A second shooting in Uptown Saturday morning left another person seriously injured. That person was critically injured at the hospital after being shot in the 200 block of East Trade Street.

WCNC Charlotte is working to learn more about what happened and whether these victims are expected to survive.
