2 people found dead after fire at Charlestown home

The fire broke out at the home on Crown Point Drive around 8 a.m. Charlestown Fire Department said Charlestown Firefighters found a man dead inside the home when they entered. After the fire was extinguished, a woman was dead in the house. Two people were found dead after a fire at a mobile home in Charlestown Thursday morning.

Fire officials said Charlestown firefighters found a man dead inside the home when they entered. After the fire was extinguished, a woman was dead in the house.

Their identities have not been released pending autopsies scheduled for Friday.

Witnesses reported seeing fire trucks and hearing sirens shortly after waking up Thursday morning.

“I just looked at the end of the park and saw the commotion,” witness Shawn Davis said.

State fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
