Chalmette man arrested for alleged drug and firearm possession

ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Chalmette man faces several gun and drug-related charges following an investigation by the Bureau of Special Investigations Division's Narcotics Unit. sheriff of the parish of Saint-Bernard.

According to SBSO deputies, on Friday, June 21, Timothy Kinkella, 38, was arrested on the following charges:


  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine and various prescription drugs
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Criminal convicted in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Deputies said during an investigation they also found six firearms.

Kinkella was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Prison where he is being held on $446,750 bail.
