PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Central Falls man has been sentenced to 75 years in the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) for a 2014 stabbing murder.

Malcolm Querido, 37, was sentenced to 60 years in ACI and a consecutive term of 25 years without the possibility of parole, with 15 consecutive years to be served at ACI.

Querido murdered Robert Bullard, 38, of Providence, after an argument between Bullard and a woman.

The incident occurred on September 7, 2014 when Bullard arranged to meet a woman at an apartment on Allston Street in Providence.

The woman shared the apartment with Querido.

After an argument between the woman and Bullard, Querido entered the room and stabbed Bullard to death.

The woman called 911 and Querido fled the scene where first responders arrived to transport Bullard to a local hospital.

He was later pronounced dead.

“This defendant murdered Robert Bullard in a senseless act of violence, and he will now be held accountable for his brutal crime,” said Attorney General Peter Neronha.
