Stolworthy followed the man in the car “aggressively,” documents state.

The two reportedly stopped near Fiddlers and Main streets.

Cellphone video taken by a passerby showed the driver of the car walking toward Stolworthy, who pulled out a gun before gunshots were heard, documents said.

It was later reported that Stolworthy had left.

Officers said they found Stolworthy at his residence, recognizing him from his appearance in the cellphone video. They described him as having “fresh blood on his face.” They also reported finding a firearm without its magazine in the driveway of the residence.

Officers were able to match a loose bullet found in the firearm with the bullet casing found at the shooting scene, documents show. They also identified Stolworthy's motorcycle, helmet, backpack, gloves and clothing matching what was in the cellphone video.

Documents report the victim was transported to St. George for treatment of an upper chest injury, with “serious injuries to his lung and ribs.”

Stolworthy is charged with felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, reckless driving, obstruction of justice and two counts of reckless endangerment.
