Castaic bushfire reaches five acres

Update: The so-called Indigo Fire has spread to five acres and has been placed at alarm level two, according to radio dispatch traffic.

There were also reports that a structure was in danger and four homes on Capri Court were being evacuated, according to radio traffic.

Original: A bushfire breaks out in Castaic, near Castaic College, with one acre already burned.

Around 12:40 p.m., Los Angeles County fire officials received a report of a brush fire at Capri Court and Barcelona Road in Castaic. A Los Angeles County fire official verified that the fire had already consumed one acre.

The fire, accompanied by minimal winds, could burn up to 10 acres, according to radio traffic.

At the time of publication, no further details are known.
