For the second day in a row, the Cass County Sheriff's Office deployed a grappling hook to end a police chase. Thursday around 5 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle with a stolen Missouri temporary license plate traveling northbound on Interstate 49. Deputies stopped the police pursuit using a tire deflation device and a grappling hook near from the intersection of S. Madison Street and Preakness Drive in Raymore, Missouri. Investigation revealed that the vehicle and its license plates had been reported stolen out of Kansas City, Missouri. The 29-year-old driver, who was on a probation warrant for a felony probation violation, was apprehended and is currently being held at the Cass County Jail awaiting charges.
