Case of missing man Benjamin Brubaker in Ashland County

Benjamin Brubaker was 30 years old when he was last seen in Ashland County on October 31, 2005, according to details on the Ohio Attorney General's website.

POLK, Ohio — It's been more than 18 years since Benjamin Brubaker disappeared in Ashland County on Halloween in 2005, and we've learned that authorities on Tuesday conducted searches at two undisclosed properties in Polk related to the case .

The Ashland County Sheriff's Office says the two searches were conducted in conjunction with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Ashland Police Department “after receiving several confidential tips about the investigation underway” regarding Brubaker’s disappearance.

“Agencies have exhausted the technical resources offered by the BCI to follow up on the leads sent to us,” according to a message posted on the ministry’s Facebook page.

Brubaker was 30 years old when he was last seen on October 31, 2005, according to details on the Ohio Attorney General's website.

Described as 5'10 inches tall and 148 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, the Ohio Attorney General's Office also claims Brubaker has an Insane Clown Posse logo on his upper left arm. His upper right arm, meanwhile, bears a tattoo of the jester from the Insane Clown Posse holding a bird in one hand and a magic wand in the other with the words “The Great Milenko”. Authorities say Brubaker also has a scar on his back.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call the Ashland County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau at 419-289-8362.

The matter is still under investigation.
