Canandaigua rapist Alexander Kise sentenced to 35 years in prison

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Canandaigua man who held a woman against her will and sexually assaulted her for two days in 2022 was sentenced Friday to 35 years in prison and 20 years of post-release supervision.

Alexander Kise, 21, met the woman on social media, according to prosecutors. He was convicted in March of two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of third-degree rape, one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of first-degree unlawful imprisonment and of two counts of unlawful imprisonment. in the second degree, two counts of coercion in the first degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and two counts of menacing in the second degree.


“Today, a young woman who chose to stand up to Alexander Kise and say no, finally saw the result of her courage. Alexander Kise has always been successful. When he didn’t, he used violence and force to get what he wanted,” said Kelly Wolford, an assistant prosecutor with the Ontario County Prosecutor’s Office. “35 years in prison, plus 20 years of post-release supervision, is necessary to ensure the safety of our victim and his family as well as the community at large. »

Kise also faces murder, conspiracy and drug charges, among other charges, for allegedly plotting to kill the lead prosecutor and the judge presiding over his rape sentencing.

Kise's girlfriend, Alydia Gater, 22, allegedly met with an undercover agent April 21 in a Victor parking lot to negotiate a deal in the killing. Investigators said Gater used Xanax to pay for the hit.

A 16-year-old girl was also charged in connection with the plot, but no further details about that suspect have been released due to her age.
