Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 does not support MW3 weapons, skins or other cosmetics

As part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal event, Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare III DLC skins, cosmetics, and weapons will not carry over to Black Ops 6. In a blog post, Activision has said: “We want to make sure everyone starts fresh, together, as we enter a whole new experience” with Black Ops 6.

As such, Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III DLC will not be available in Black Ops 6, with one exception. The Woods Operator Pack, already available in MW3, will be supported in Black Ops 6.

DLC skins and cosmetics for Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Black Ops 6 will carry over to Call of Duty: Warzone when an upcoming Season 1 update arrives.

“Allowing everyone to experience the Black Ops universe the way it was meant to be played, learning era-specific weapons and gear, learning gameplay innovations like Omnimovement, and maintaining that signature style of Black Ops is important,” the developer said, explaining why Black Ops 6 won’t support skins from newer Call of Duty games.

2023's Modern Warfare III marked a big change for the Call of Duty series, as it allowed players to import their Modern Warfare II weapons and cosmetics and continue using them in the new game. This program was known as called “Carry Forward”, but it will not continue with Black Ops 6.

Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, and thanks to Microsoft's purchase of the series, fans on Xbox will be able to play it through their Game Pass subscription. We recently learned a lot about Black Ops 6, including the first details about its campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Specifically, Black Ops 6 brings back the traditional tower-based Zombies experience, and people are very excited about it.
