Fire crews arrived on scene of a single-story commercial building with visible smoke in Uptown Butte, entered the building and found a room and its contents on fire. They quickly brought the fire under control, according to the department's Facebook post.

One person was evaluated at the scene for possible smoke inhalation, but no one was found injured. Firefighters conducted an initial search and determined that the building was clear.

While crews ventilated the building to clear the smoke, they carried out salvage and overhaul operations, finding that fortunately the building suffered only minimal damage due to BSBFD's early detection and rapid response , according to the message.

Engines 1, 2 and 3, the BSBFD's A Shift, responded to the incident.
