Bus driver Paedo sat teenage girl on his lap and performed sex acts while driving

A shady bus driver sat a 15-year-old girl on his lap and performed sex acts with her while driving a passenger bus late at night.

Pedophile driver Christopher McIntosh, 38, reached speeds of almost 50 miles per hour as he drove through Fife with the vulnerable teenager sitting on top of him.

A court was shown footage from the bus's internal camera which showed McIntosh and the girl cramped in the driver's cabin during a two-hour journey.

Dundee Sheriff Court was shown 16 minutes of footage from the trip revealing they were also using a mobile phone while McIntosh was behind the wheel.

The court heard McIntosh was driving night buses for Moffat and Williamson between St Andrews and Glenrothes when he met the girl.

During several trips – when there were no other passengers on board – they engaged in sexual activity while McIntosh drove.

McIntosh, from Dundee, admitted engaging in sexual activity during several trips between March 20 and April 10 last year. He admitted kissing and kissing the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, during repeated sexual encounters.

He was also found guilty following a trial of carelessly driving the number 64 double decker bus on various roads around Fife on April 10, 2023. He was found to have been driving with a child in the driver's seat alongside him, with his arms around the child, and repeatedly looking at a cell phone.

Fiscal depute Michael Robertson told the court: “The CCTV is from an older bus and is not of the best quality, but there is a 16-minute video clip.

“The Crown defamed the fact that the accused was driving dangerously because a child was sitting in the driver's seat next to the accused, who had one arm around the child and repeatedly looked at his cell phone while he was driving.

“You can see the accused driving with a female passenger in the taxi while he was in his official capacity as a bus driver. You can see the illumination of the mobile phone.

“The Crown argues that there are risks to driving a large vehicle while using a mobile phone, whether there are passengers or not.

“Looking at a mobile phone is a distraction and a risk and having a passenger in the cabin while you drive the bus is a risk. The Crown argues it is dangerous.”

Barrister Larry Flynn, defending, said: “There is no argument that he was the driver. The driving was captured on CCTV.”

McIntosh was charged with dangerous driving, but convicted of the lesser charge of careless driving. Sheriff John Rafferty said the quality of the driving was unclear from CCTV.

He deferred McIntosh's sentence for the preparation of social work reports and added his details to the sex offenders register. He was released on bail.

It is understood McIntosh was well aware of the girl's age as she had initially shown her child's ID to get a free trip on the bus.
