Burlington police identify suspects in threatening call against college – Boston 25 News

BURLINGTON, Mass. — Burlington police have identified a few suspects in connection with Friday's threatening phone call to the college, saying there is no threat at this time.

Police and school officials were notified of threats made at Marshall Simonds Middle School Friday around 2:55 p.m., police said. An anonymous caller threatened to harm the school on Tuesday, May 28.

But, police announced Monday evening, “there is no credible or continuing threat to the college community at this time.”

Officers will increase security at all Burlington schools Tuesday morning to “ensure peace of mind” for the community, the police department wrote on Facebook.

As the investigation continues, the school department will continue to receive necessary updates from the police department.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
